Joell Posey Grager's BiographyEDITOR A recent graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, Joell is a working editor. Currently editing an indie comedic feature film. She's working as an assistant editor for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2. PERFORMER Joell is a talented performer with years of experience in film, television and theater. Her credits include the world premiere of stage play "Without Annette," recurring roles in the Cartoon Network Pilot series "Re-Animated," Buena Vista/ABC's "The Joneses," and NBC's "Hidden Hills." Joell was hand selected by David Fincher as a teenage murder witness in "Zodiac." IMPROVISER & COMEDIAN Joell became the youngest stand-up comic to play the main stage of the Comedy Store at eight years old. She has performed at top comedy clubs in LA (The Comedy Store,The Improv, The Ice House) and several other clubs LA locals and Seattle including Giggles, Higley's and the Sportsmen's Lodge. She was a member of the elite, "Dog Bread" improv troupe directed by Groundlings' founder, Gary Austin, starring several of the original Groundlings and other famous performers include Helen Hunt and Helen Slater. SPEAKER As a published author and speaker, Joell helps people find a creative outlet by speaking about how she overcame adversities through the arts. Her years of public speaking include engagements with the Western States Communication Association Conference, annual Autism Speaks events, Kiwanis, and Rotary Club. JOURNALIST A freelance journalist, Joell covers the Academy Awards, Miss America competitions and the BCS Championship to name a few. She graduated with her master's degree in mass communications and journalism from California State University. VOLUNTEER Joell has been a board member for Autism Speaks Northwest and the Children's Cerebral Palsy Movement. Other philanthropic endeavors include, The American Heart Association, "Let Them Play" organization, Read Across America Campaign, Champions Against Bullying, Covenant House Youth Shelter and Hope Lutheran Sunday School. FILM FESTIVAL FOUNDER Joell created the Seattle Fashion Film Festival to bring together her passion for fashion and filmmaking. Proceeds benefit local charities to encourage creating art for a cause. |
